Court Farm to officially join BPT

Court Farm Primary School in Erdington is set to officially become the 5th member of Broadleaf Partnership Trust after permission was granted by the Department for Education.

Final contracts and legalities are now being conducted ahead of full integration early in the new school term, marking an exciting new start for the school on Tedbury Crescent.

Headteacher Madeleine Bromley says they are looking forward to finally completing the process:

“We’ve already started collaboration in some areas and holding meetings to find the key things we can work together on in the future. We know we can share fresh ideas into the Trust and receive them back too, whether it’s plans for how we teach writing, SEN or many other aspects. Through our partnership within the Learning Trust for Excellence we know we have a lot of similar ground with Town and Holland House especially and so we’re looking forward to even greater collaborative working with them.

The feeling going forward is that there will be lots and lots of different opportunities, already we’ve made key links with Plantsbrook and how we might be able to use their sports facilities and science labs, that is very, very good for our pupils and staff because they are now beginning to have a sense that we’re not here on our own.

We’re getting a fresh start as a new school in September, first and foremost it’s for the betterment of the education and social and emotional improvements for the children.”

BPT Chief Executive Claire Pritchard says everyone is delighted to finally be able to welcome Court Farm into the Trust family:

“This is an exciting new step for both Court Farm and the other schools within Broadleaf. They are a wonderful addition to our Trust community, further enabling us to share knowledge and expertise across a wide range of educational needs and areas.

A lot of hard work has gone into making this happen, but we share a common ethos that everything is done to improve the lives of the children and communities we serve.

We’re excited at the prospect of bolstering our Primary Phase, growing together as a Trust and continuing to live up to our values of Aspiration, Alliance and Agility in everything we do.”
