PlantsbrookSubject Leader – PE, Health and Wellbeing – Closes 21st April

The Plantsbrook School Physical Education Department is a well-resourced and committed department with an excellent track record. Facilities include two Multi-Use Games Areas, a modern purpose-built sports hall and a fully equipped fitness suite. We are looking to develop the role of SL for PE to include supporting whole school Health and Well-being strategies (as led by the DHT Behaviour and Personal Development). The role of Physical Education stretches beyond the classroom and is central to the healthy development of our pupils. Studies show the life-long importance of PE for both physical and mental wellbeing. We are offering the exciting opportunity to expand the role into SL for PE, Health and Wellbeing.

To succeed, you’ll have strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high quality lessons, together with an enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration.

PlantsbrookScience Technician Apprentice – Closes 22nd April

Working as a Technician you will join our busy science department, helping to efficiently support staff and students across the school. You will assist with providing technical support services to Science, including the preparation of materials, setting up of equipment for class practical sessions and maintaining equipment for use.

Our team takes pride in the work it does and is always striving to improve and learn new best practices. We know that as an apprentice you will bring fresh perspectives and new ideas, which we’re excited for you to share.

PerryfieldsScience Teacher – Closes 1st May

In the Science department, we have been working hard to motivate our children to enjoy and be inspired by Science and have developed Schemes of Work that look for active approaches to Science investigation and learning. We believe in targeting pupils of all abilities to improve results and eradicate underachievement.

Perryfields Academy aims to offer all students high quality lessons in Science which cater for individual needs. Science GCSE results are some of the most improved in the school and are good. All staff in the department are enthusiastic, well qualified graduates who bring their own subject specialisms into the area of Science.
