Broadleaf Partnership Trust has been recognised by the British Heart Foundation for hosting and making available potentially life saving equipment at all of our schools.
All sites are now registered on a national database known as ‘The Circuit’, accessible to emergency services to enable swift treatment to those who need it.
In a congratulatory email to the Trust, Head of Operations at BHF, Simon Dunn, says the work of key people across BPT to maintain the machines could inspire others to help save lives:
“This means that, if available, your defibrillators are visible to the ambulance service’s call handlers in a cardiac emergency – ensuring no time is lost when every second counts.”
The charity says every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces the chance of survival by up to 10 percent.
Key BPT staff will receive regular email reminders to check the defib’s status and update The Circuit, along with other reminders such as when the pads are about to expire.
Oliver Marsh, Director of Estates & Sustainability at BPT says the Trust will continue to maintain the kits so they are available when needed by those in the communities we serve:
We are proud to support the British Heart Foundation by ensuring all Trust owned defibrillators are accurately logged on the National Defibrillator Network via The Circuit platform.
Our commitment helps strengthen our community safety and improves emergency response. We are pleased to share recent recognition of our support and the positive impact it brings.
