Visitors to Holland House will be greeted with a much more floral welcome thanks to a generous donation from Deeley Construction.
With a major building project nearby coming to an end, the group contacted us offering support to leave a lasting legacy from their time in Sutton Coldfield.
Deeley Construction is currently completing a new 137-home housing community in the town for Anchor, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care for people in later life.

We were able to use the funds to purchase an array of plants and flowers to fill our new raised planting bed, to hopefully create a much more colourful entrance to school for many years to come.
Current Holland House children were joined by former students from Town Junior to get their gardening gloves on and get dirty digging up the fresh soil.
Director of Estates and Sustainability at Broadleaf Partnership Trust, Oliver Marsh, oversaw the project and says the donation from Deeley Construction was perfect timing:
“We’re always working to provide the best surroundings possible for our students and staff, with the new playground facilities, renovation of the magic garden and tree preservation works this year. What we’ve been focused on was creating a vibrant new welcome to the school site and thanks to Deeley Construction we were able to purchase the plants and materials needed to fill the new raised bed. It was great to see the children getting involved under the guidance of Mrs Miller and Mr Westwood and hopefully they’ll be very proud of how it looks.”

Simon McNamee, Contracts Manager at Deeley Construction, said: “We are committed to leaving a positive impact on the communities in which we work and it great to have the opportunity to work with the team at Holland House.
“We were delighted to provide funding for the plants and materials used in this project, helping to create a welcoming green space that everyone can enjoy and encouraging young people to get outside to enjoy nature.”
A huge thanks to Deeley Construction for their support in this project. If you’d like to support our schools you can start a conversation, via sponsorships@broadleafpt.co.uk or become a Community Champion and help teach our learners about the green spaces around them.
